About the author
- James Barr
- is a British historian. My latest book is A Line In The Sand: Britain, France and the Struggle for the Middle East. It tells the story of the increasingly vicious struggle between Britain and France for control of the Middle East, between 1915 and 1949. It follows Setting the Desert on Fire: TE Lawrence and Britain's secret war in Arabia, 1916-1918.
